A Chapter of Jeremy’s Journey
Jeremy Thomley is a glassblower, sculptor, rock climber & Christmas tree farm owner.
He is also living with Cystic Fibrosis— a rare genetic disorder that affects his ability to breathe. I had the opportunity to travel with Jeremy to a “tune-up” treatment appointment at UAB to document a chapter of his journey.
Each day in the hospital, Jeremy trains for 3-4 hours. Maximizing his strength allows him to recharge faster for daily pulmonary testing. This strenuous daily training allowed him to regain 1-2 points per day on his pulmonary function test.
Jeremy is one of most inspirational people I have ever met and has taught me more about how to live for each moment more than anyone I know. His story is an inspiration to anyone who hears it.
Jeremy celebrated his 41st birthday last year.
